I’m Hamid, a designer and auto-layout enthusiast from Uppsala, Sweden, currently Lead Designer at Gameplan.com, where I’ve been since 2016.

Outside of work, I like to make my ideas real like my side-projects Themely, Framequiz, and my latest WIP, Scripted, an app for tracking films, series, and books. I’ve also ran two marathons (ask for my Strava at your own risk).

I began designing at 12 to create a fansite for Real Madrid, and I’ve pretty much had a design tool open almost every day since.

What have I done at Gameplan?

As Gameplan’s first designer, I created our design system - Bibban (a cheeky nod to “bibliotek”, Swedish for library). Working with our Lead Front-End Developer, we built a foundation that’s grown with the product, our users, and the company.

I’ve also worked with the CTO, designers, and developers to ship features like chat, a multiplayer lesson editor with version history, interactive elements, and video reviews with drawing tools.

Oh, and I designed, coded, and shipped the global search!

At Gameplan, designers are involved from zero to shipping and beyond.

Before that?

Before Gameplan, I did consulting work at SAITS. where I built everything from simple landing pages to more complex platforms.
